Leen(a)

Leena oh Leena, Leena Leena...
Dil tune cheena, cheena cheena...

It's very easy to guess that I'm married to Leena and have become absolutely Leen(a) in her. Leena is this one person who has the ability to motivate as much as to understand.
She infuses speed, alertness and ambition without any effort(on her part, of course). She is the reason behind a newfound happiness in life.
She is the air that has filled the vacuum in my life.
She is the cause of all the effects(special ones too) in my life.
She is the constructor of my life's class.
She is the garbage collector of my life's framework.
She is the "On Error...Resume Next" statement in my life.
She is the Quartz crystal in my life's CPU.
She is me outside of me.

I Love her. And, all I remember now is....
"Main tere pyar mein kya kya na banaa Leeena,
Kabhi banaa Kutta, kabhi Kameena..."

On My Mood Swings....

Being the Cancerian that I am, "MOOD SWINGS" are a part of daily living. It's just that many Cancerians are able to cope with it most of the times while there are these sometimes they throw them in this infinite loop(it's more like a "Mobius strip"). Now, that's what I dread the most(in fact most Cancerians will agree with me). While it may not be all correct to attribute these mood swings to my being a cancerian, it may simply be due to the fact that I think more from the heart than from the head. Nevertheless, I attribute it to "Cancerianism"(the skeptic that I am).
Now, what is commonly said about Cancerian moods is that they are dominated by the Moon and its own moods. Therefore the best way to get away with a mood swing is to "Blame it on the Moon". And, the best excuse is(in my freind's words) "Aaj Full Moon hai...Aaj new Moon hai...Aaj Moon ka yeh Phase hai...Aaj Moon ka woh Phase hai"(LOL). Now, that's pretty convenient isn't it.
Thanks to the Moon I don't have to come up with excuses that are easily understood to be stupid(not that this one is super intelligent, but its one which is difficult for anyone to counter). And all Cancerians would be in unison with me when I say that(I swear) many of our mood swings cannot be explained by Cause-and-effect theory. No need for a Cause to have an Effect. The Effect is independent of worldliness and the vagaries of Life.
So, when you meet a Cancerian and he/she says that he/she is in a good or a bad mood, please don't ask "Why???" just start talking about something else like Food, Places, movies, songs or whatever crap that comes to your mind and attribute the change to the MOON.

The Lone Crusader...

An interesting thing I saw today.
It was worth taking a picture of so, that's what I did.
Whether you find it interesting or no is your perspective.
But, I do.
The whole idea of being "The Lone Crusader" or "The First One" enthralls me. It just goes on to show that you don't need a worldfull of people to achieve your goal. All you need is "YOU".

Friends are angels...

This is probably something you must've read as a chain mail. I don't believe in forwards but, I think the story is so true to life. I guess we all have met such a person in our lives...

One day, when I was a freshman in high school,I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle.It looked like he was carrying all of his books.I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd."I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.

As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him.He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyesMy heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye.As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those guys are jerks. "They really should get lives." He looked at me and said, "Hey thanks!"There was a big smile on his face.It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude.

I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to private school before now.I would have never hung out with a private school kid before. We talked all the way home, and I carried some of his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid.I asked him if he wanted to play a little football with my friendsHe said yes.We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him.

Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again.I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!" He just laughed and handed me half the books.Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends. When we were seniors we began to think about college.Kyle decided on Georgetown and I was going to Duke.I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem. He was going to be a doctor and I was going for business on a football scholarship.

Kyle was valedictorian of our class.I teased him all the time about being a nerd.He had to prepare a speech for graduation.I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speakGraduation day, I saw Kyle.He looked great. He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him.Boy, sometimes I was jealous!Today was one of those days.I could see that he was nervous about his speech. So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be great!"He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled." Thanks," he said.

As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began"Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years.Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach...but mostly your friends...I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them.I am going to tell you a story."I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met.

He had planned to kill himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home.He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile."Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable."I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment.I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile.

Not until that moment did I realize it's depth.Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person's life. For better or for worse.God puts us all in each others lives to impact one another in some way.Look for God in others.

"Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly."

जीने की चाह !!!

I wrote this day before.

I want to live Life...

This is reminiscence time !!!
I was just breezing through my books when I found this book in which I had written a few very first of my experiences(must've been about 16 -17 years old back then). I read this one poem which I couldn't believe I wrote. I want to share it with all.

Caught in the storm of Life,
Full of sadness, sacrifice and strife.
It's a very sticky web of desires,
where a person burns on many pyres.
What is he? Dust, after all,
from where he rose, thereupon he has to fall.
Then why these miseries he does create for himself,
These customs, rites, reservations... this self.
But it's difficult to give up desires and wants,
For society, such meaningless goals haunt.

I want to live life like an endless dream,
where thoughts, desires and wants flow like a stream.
Where man does not narrow down to selfish desire,
where society is a way of living, not a satire.
Life, as such, is an invaluable gift,
why to spend it on one's own self, the entire of it,
Life has its meaning, if it is lived for others,
If not so, it becomes a ship without rudders.

The Goal - II

Something that I have learnt in life is that -
We are all sent to this earth with a purpose or a mission. The process of life should therefore involve finding out what we have been meant to do and then of course, doing it.

Now how does one realize what is his/her mission.

I guess the first thing one could turn to could be one's likes and dislikes.
Likes and dislikes are preliminary indicators to one's Goal. While these may lead us to the right track but could be as misleading too. In my opinion one should carefully analyze these and find out which ones conspire Inspiration and convert to Interests.

Then come our Interests.
Interests articulate our latent talents. These interests are more often than not extremely visible in our childhood and are best discovered and nurtured by our parents, guardians, teachers or maybe even friends. These are important people in our lives and should be treasured. They are our signposts in life.

And lastly I feel that everyone has his/her inner calling, our inclination or urge that is the ultimate beckoning to our Goal.

The world lives on beliefs. Belief is the single most powerful thing that drives people to do whatever they do. So, believe in yourself and "Score your Goal"
